Manufacturing Equipment Technician (Thin Films)
The Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for multiple
activities in support of manufacturing including: maintenance of semiconductor equipment,
processes and measurement tools.

This position requires the individual to possess
the ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and perform preventative
maintenance procedures on equipment used in the manufacture of semiconductor
devices. These repairs and procedures are performed in an
environment where toxic gas, high voltage, and kinetic energy hazards exist.
Repairs and maintenance must be performed in a timely and accurate manner
so as to minimize the loss of availability to manufacturing.




The Technician will work, as part of a team, with operators and
engineers to identify problems and their solutions.

Technician will apply knowledge of fundamental
concepts and practices of electronics and microelectronics, as well as
statistical process control concepts, to maintenance of semiconductor equipment
and processes.

The technician must have demonstrated mechanical
aptitude; this is required to learn/perform assigned maintenance tasks.


Technicians work in a cleanroom where the purity of
the air must be kept at a maximum level for the protection of the in-process
wafers. In order to maintain the air quality technicians must adhere to strict
apparel regulations that prohibit the use of perfume, cologne, hairspray,
fingernail polish, and make-up of any kind; also prohibited is the wearing of
contact lenses, dresses and any open toe or heel shoes.






+ Must be available and able to worknight shifts, rotating 3-day on/3-day off schedule. (Candidate will need to beflexible to train on day shift)




**KeyResponsibilities:**




+ Troubleshoot and repair electromechanicalsystems that include servo motors and controllers, stepper motors andcontrollers, AC motors and controllers, and DC motors and controllers.

+ Troubleshoot and repair electro pneumaticsystems that include solenoid valves, gate valves, high vacuum isolationvalves, and pneumatic logic circuits.

+ Work is performed within a clean roomenvironment that requires the wearing of a smock, hood, booties,latex/nitrile gloves and safety glasses.

+ Requires the use of airline respirator.


Requires occasional
wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to:
aprons, gauntlets, and full face masks.


**Qualifications:**




+ Previous equipment maintenance background ispreferred.

+ Basic math skills and computer skills.

+ Experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment ishelpful

+ Capable of standing for at least 75% of thetime during any particular flight.

+ Capable of working with and around chemicals(safety training is provided).

+ Remain as shift flexible as possible as thereexists the chance of being moved from the night flight to the day flight(or vice versa), also must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays.

+ Capable of cross training (learning more thanone job or operation) and multi tasking.

+ Organization skills and the ability toprioritize one's work.
